Joining the Church

Jesus said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.  Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.”  In other words, Jesus wanted people to follow him and to live by his commandment to love one another.  Jesus also told his disciples to take up their cross and to follow after him.  This wasn’t going to be an easy challenge but it would be worth it in the end.  Jesus still calls disciples into his kingdom.  Though we live in different times, the challenge to follow Jesus can be just as demanding and just as rewarding.

At regular intervals there are Enquirers’ Groups for those who are considering the challenge of being modern disciples.  We dispel some of the myths of what people think Christians believe and explore what they actually do believe.

The Groups consider:-

  • Who Jesus was
  • When he lived and what challenges he faced
  • What he actually said
  • Why he is still important
  • How his life changed the world
  • Why you might consider following him

If you would like to know more, please contact the minister via the church office and he will provide details of the next Enquirers’ Group.
